Published: A Safe Place to Remember

Is it already May? There’s quite a bit to catch up on over the next few weeks. However, first, I’m excited to share that I placed in Jersey Pines Ink‘s first flash fiction contest with my story, “A Safe Place to Remember”! The word count limit of 500 words really challenged me to distill my words down to their very essence and still be able to convey a plot. The story was inspired by my own hoarding tendencies and my mother-in-law’s beautiful photo albums. Scroll down on the website to read the full story, as well as the stories of the four other finalists. Enjoy!

And if you want to share, what would you give to the dragon in my story?
