Published: I Dream of Marie in Tincture Journal

One of the things I like to do is to write poetry. It’s a different way of thinking that refreshes my mind for when I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole of editing. It’s also a great way for me to express truths about myself that can only be hinted at in my writing. Sometimes, however, my poetry spirals out of control, and I’ve found myself plunging into Creative Non-Fiction territory.

“I Dream of Marie” is the result of one of these episodes, using my favorite scientist, Marie Curie, as a mirror in which to reflect my personal struggles, struggles that are as individual as I am but are also found universally. I love that the piece exemplifies my own particular way of thinking, in numbers and facts and logic, but expressed in a literary way.

I’m so honored that Tincture Journal also loved it and included it in their Spring 2016 issue (Issue 15). You can peruse the Table of Contents to see all the other great authors included, or you can buy a copy for yourself.

I hope you enjoy a little insight into my inner world.
